Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel
Why is it that many comics written by ladies are autobiographical? Well, history has always been a man’s project. So, the only way that the female gender can have their voices and experiences adequately represented is by creating their own stories, just like Alison Bechdel did in Fun Home.

In this graphic memoir, Bechdel explores a young lady’s complex relationship with her father and addresses issues that range from abuse and gender roles to suicide. In our opinion, this work is a must-read, as it portrays literature as a helpful tool for understanding both oneself and society.
