Two decades before The Flintstones, Hanna-Barbera, an animation studio and production company, made animation history with just one cat and a mouse. We were all raised on Tom and Jerry, no matter what our age is.
On February 10, 1940, MGM released the short Puss Gets the Boot in theaters, introducing the cartoon cat and mouse. Young animators Joseph Barbera and William Hanna created the animal adversaries. And the rest is history.
